I've recently been working on my postcard project, and I decided to take a time-lapse video of the process for one.
First though, I started out by sketching the park and the mosque lightly with pencil before adding any watercolor.

Then I started with a wash of blue on the sky and worked section by section and color by color for the most part. For example, I worked on the mosque next, started with the tans and then moving on to the grays. Then I painted the benches, lampposts, and the middle row of plants, doing most of the greens before adding the reds and a bit of orange to the plants. For the plants, I worked in layers, beginning with a light color over the whole plant, and then gradually adding darker coats of paint. Then I worked on the left side, painting the trees first and then working on the grass and bushes. I did the same thing on the right side, but started with the bushes, and then the trees, and then the grass. I added a little bit of pink and gray to the paths and darkened some of the shadows on the mosque to finish up.
