I'm Laura, a 19 year-old and sophomore at North Greenville University, majoring in Studio Art with a minor in Psychology. So far, I've had the chance to take art classes like Drawing 1 + 2, Design 1 + 2, Art History 1 + 2, Digital Imagery, Ceramics 1, Painting 1, and Photo 1. I look forward to many more such classes in my next couple years here!
In my free time I enjoy working on a variety of art projects, playing music, spending time with my friends, reading, and playing games with family. I also love traveling and exploring both new and familiar places when I get the chance, whether it's hiking nearby or trying new foods and sight-seeing in different countries.
I have loved trying out a wide variety of media and I've gone through phases where my favorites have been graphite and charcoal, chalk pastel, watercolors, colored pencil, and oil paints. Currently what I love so much about watercolor, colored pencil, and oils is the ability to create vivid colors with incredible detail and realism. I also enjoy many different subjects, ranging from portraits to landscapes to still lifes and much more. I love to tell stories about my life through my artwork and capture the people and places that mean a lot to me, as well as finding the beauty in ordinary objects or scenes.
